VOLUNTEER
Creating safe spaces and positive representation of the LGBTQ community could not happen without the service of many volunteers who take the time out of their lives to help make our community more inclusive and diverse.

Pride Franklin County is lead by volunteers! We are always interested in connecting with people wanting to volunteer our organization, both during events and as an Ambassador representing Pride in the community.

PRIDE AMBASSADORS
Our goal with Pride Ambassadors is for volunteers to take the next step beyond simply showing up to help where needed at events. What we are looking for are volunteers interested in making a difference and advancing Pride Franklin County's mission.

Pride Ambassadors are committed to:
-
Attending Pride events regularly and serving as an extension of the organization. There are times when our Co-Chairs are pulled away by other organizations or work responsibilities, so they can not attend every single event. Ambassadors help fill in for Co-Chairs and represent Pride Franklin County.
-
Actively being welcoming and inclusive to all at events. This point is self explanatory and is a core value that Pride Franklin County has, and would expect from all involved in any event.
-
Upholding Pride's values and identity in a positive way while representing Pride at events and in the greater community. Similar to the previous point, Ambassadors recognize they represent Pride not only at Pride events, but extending into the community in all interactions to continue the mission of Pride Franklin County.

Pride Ambassadors can expect to attend 2-3 events each month on average. Some month will be busier than others and some will be lighter, as programming varies month to month. Committee meetings will only be held if necessary.

Ambassadors also have the opportunity to coordinate and host Pride meet-ups: casual gatherings inviting the Pride community to enjoy a special activity at a public place (ex: game night at a game store, downtown progressive dinner, yoga class, walk on the rail trail, etc.).
